Storing PPE under safe conditions is an extremely challenging task. Without proper storage, PPE can get damaged, and hence it will lose its effectiveness. If not stored properly, it will not withstand the dangers, which can trigger the accidents and result in fatalities. Although the storage conditions may vary from equipment to equipment, however, some general guidelines can be followed to keep the Patnu products safer and reliable.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends that PPE should be “maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition.”
According to the ISO 9001, OSHA, and NIOSH recommendations, we encourage the following practices to keep the products safe.
No harsh conditions:
Always make sure that the products are placed in a balanced environment. If you store the product that is made to resist cold in a hot environment, it will lose the effectivity and will be damaged. Storing them at room temperature and pressure is the recommended practice until or unless specified on the product. At our Patnu plants, we practice the same thing while storing the products, and we recommend our consumers to do the same.
Places designated only for PPE storage:
It is a recommended practice to store Patnu products at the places designated explicitly for these purposes. Avoid putting them within your routinely used cupboards. This is due to the fact that toxic chemicals can get attached to the products, and putting them with your dresses can transfer these substances to them, resulting in their damage.
Those products which are specifically designed for one-time use should be disposed of with proper care, as mentioned in the instructions of the products. Always make sure to follow the recommended procedure to avoid any harm to you and your loved ones.
Put in the zippers:
We recommend storing the product in the zipper to ensure that even the two equipments do not come in contact with each other. Always make sure that the internal of the zipper is non-reactive to the chemicals; otherwise, it could damage the equipment. For this purpose, make sure to read about the material of the zipper a bit before purchasing it.
Store only those products onsite that are made for this purpose. Otherwise, always make sure to store the products off-site.
Keep it away from Children:
We extremely discourage storing the products in the approach of the children. Doing so can have some unfortunate consequences. As some toxic chemicals can get attached with the equipment, touching them with bare hands can be detrimental. Make sure to have a cabinet of the equipment at a reasonable height to avoid these types of things.
Always store the protective equipment at a place that is readily accessible in case of emergencies. Any negligence in this regard can result in disasters.
Store in dry conditions:
Do not put the items at a place that is prone to water or any type of moisture. Extended exposure to moisture can result in damaging the equipment.
Never hesitate to use the Silica gel packet to avoid accumulating moisture content in the equipment.
Avoid direct sunlight exposure during storage:
Do not expose Patnu products to sunlight while storage until or unless specified in the product description. Direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time can reduce the shelf life of the product.
Recommended Practices for Storage of the Personal Care Products:
Like other products, Personal Care Products of Patnu also require controlled storage conditions to ensure their survival up to its minimum life span. We at Patnu store our raw material and the final products under extremely controlled conditions as any negligence can prove to be fatal. We recommend the following practices to keep the Patnu products safe.
Avoid direct sunlight:
Sunlight is a direct threat to Personal Care Products. As the products get exposed to sunlight, the oxidation reaction occurs that results in damaging the product. Patnu recommends not storing its products under direct sunlight as it will reduce the lifespan of the product.
Store under the recommended conditions:
Some products can be stored at room temperature, while others should be stored in refrigerators. For most of the products, the preferable storing temperature range is mentioned in the instruction manual of the product. So, always ensure that you are storing the product under the right conditions. A little bit of negligence in this regard can result in damaging the product. Products having a high concentration of Vitamin C are recommended to store in the fridge to maintain its Shelf life.
Do not unpack until you use it:
As Patnu manufactures its products according to the internationally established standards, it must be stored according to the same standards. Never unpack the products before using them. It can result in the oxidation of the product, which spoils it. If a partial amount of product is present in the packing, make sure that you cover the product properly before storing it again so that no air enters the packing.
Ensure dry conditions:
Always make sure to store the Patnu products under dry conditions. By exposing the products to the water content, moisture increases, which triggers the oxidation reaction in the products resulting in damaging them.
Avoid storing within Children’s approach:
Never store the products within the Children’s range. As a matter of fact, Children can use them for the purposes for which they are not made of. Doing so can endanger them, and this can be fatal and can result in a tragedy.
Take special care in Summer:
As the mercury shots in summer, it is advisable to store the products under controlled conditions to avoid damaging them. It is recommended to store them in the cold in these temperatures to avoid any hustle.
Storing our products carefully and effectively is a must thing to do, and any negligence in this regard reduces the effectiveness of the products. These recommended guidelines should be followed to have an excellent user experience with Patnu. Let’s store the Patnu products carefully and have a wonderful experience.
